Stability Evaluation of Reinforced Slope Soil with Vetiver Grass against Erosion and Landslides Hazards by Using Finite Element Method

This work studied slopes with different geometric situations. The purpose is to select types of soil for embankment construction stabilise the site by using nearby accessible filling materials. Then, PLAXIS-2D software was used including five (6) phases sequential calculation such as soil, structure, mesh generation, conditions flow and stage use Vetiver grass embakment stability reinforcement. Choices were made on properties, loading, water table effect, geometry reinforcement actions vetiver grass. method based diverse materials varied slope gradients heights. So, analyse involves homogeneous soils, in addition section various soils strata. Results obtained showed that increase shear strength related mechanical effects roots make able resist stress due presence density within mass root tensile strength. It also noticed suction increased apparent cohesion showing an important role played stabilising shallow-seated failure significant effect stability.
